IN THE BEGINNING

Krykan Siberians began in 1979 with the purchase of my first Siberian, Ch. Skoshar’s Karahtki (1979-1993). Kara was bred by Sharon Wilson (Powers). Sharon was instrumental in my development as an exhibitor & breeder. She taught me to appreciate proper Siberian movement. Her suggestion of a stud for my second foundation bitch, Tartuk’s Amanda of Krykan (1982-1987), resulted in Alfie being produced. I cannot thank her enough for her guidance over the years.  My first champion & brood bitch was Ch. Skoshar's Elentari (1980-1993).  Ellie picked up a four pt major the first time I showed her.  The following week she was BW at the Central Indiana SHC for another 4 pt major.  Ellie was owner-handled to her championship.  Ellie & Mandy figure prominently in the pedigrees of KRYKAN dogs.
